Dashboard
Goal
See a personalized home of widgets — readiness, My Work summary, health alerts, stats, and charts — filtered by what your role and enabled modules allow.
Who it is for
Any signed-in staff user. The route has no meta.permission or meta.module; each widget still hides itself when you lack that widget’s permission or module.
Preconditions
- You are signed in to the correct tenant.
- Optional:
tenant.manageto customize and save layout preferences beyond “Reset mine”.
Open the screen
Overview → Dashboard (path /dashboard; / redirects here). Title: Dashboard. Subtitle shows {your name} · {tenant name}.
Steps
- Review the widget canvas for the active layout source: My preference, Role default, Tenant default, or System default.
- Choose a timeframe (Today, This week, This month, This quarter, This year, Last 7/30/90 days, and similar).
- Use widget actions:
- My Work summary → Open My Work (optionally with Decide / Do / Fix).
- Health Needs attention → Fix links (e.g. system accounts, inventory, periods, bank reconciliation).
- Stat and chart cards drill into the underlying list or report when permitted.
- To change what you see: Customize → rearrange/add widgets → Save, or Reset mine to drop your personal override. Cancel discards an in-progress edit.
- Tenant/role layout administration (when you have
tenant.manage) is also available from Settings via the page-widgets manager — not only from this toolbar.
Result
You see only widgets your membership can access. Empty canvas shows No widgets to show. Charts with no series show No data for this period yet. Health with nothing open shows No current health warnings. My Work clear state: All clear — nothing waiting.
Hard stops
- Missing module or permission on a widget → widget omitted (not an error toast).
- Layout save warnings appear as severity-warn messages from the page-widgets API.
- Legacy
GET /dashboardhealth endpoints are not what this Vue screen uses; the live UI loads/page-widgets/dashboard.
