Benefits

Goal

Define benefit plans and enroll employees so deductions can stage into payroll.

Who it is for

Benefits managers (benefits.view / .manage), admins (benefits.admin).

Preconditions

• Module benefits enabled; employees exist.
• Plan types configured in Benefits setup (health, dental, and other catalog types).

Steps

1. Open HR & Time → Benefits.
2. Create plans (type, rates, enrollment windows as offered by the UI).
3. Enroll employees: status may be active / inactive / pending / terminated.
4. Keep employer/employee contribution rates accurate before payroll import.
5. On a draft payroll run, use Import benefit deductions to stage inputs.
6. Admins maintain plan types and windows under Benefits setup.

Result

Enrollments drive benefit deduction inputs on payroll runs and appear on employee Pay & benefits detail when the module is on.
