Units of measure
Goal
Maintain units of measure used as item base units, service units, and (when enabled) alternate conversions on the item Units tab.
Who it is for
Catalog clerk with catalog.view to list; catalog.manage to create, edit, or delete.
Preconditions
- Catalog setup may require a base unit on products and/or a unit on services — define those units here first.
Steps
- Open Products → Units.
- Browse the data grid (Code, Label, optional dates). Use the column picker and sort as needed.
- Choose New unit.
- Enter Code (max 32) and Label (translatable; default locale required).
- Save. Select the unit as Base unit on product/service/assembled-bundle forms.
- Edit or delete from row actions. Do not delete units still referenced as base units on items.
- Alternate conversions between units are configured per item on the item workspace Units tab when Catalog setup allows unit conversions.
Result
Units are available for catalog items and inventory quantity display.

The list is a document workspace: queue tabs, search that applies when you choose Apply, and a side preview. Open goes to the full record when that page has one. Settings appears in the page actions when you can view that setup page.
