Routing setup checklist

Goal

Ready process masters before BOM activation and WO release policies that require a routing.

Who it is for

Planner / admin.

Preconditions

• Work centers created for costing cells.
• Optional: Manufacturing setup → Routing operation types catalog (labels for planning; WO engine uses minutes/rates from the routing snapshot).

Steps

1. Map the shop process into sequenced operations.
2. Attach work centers and setup/run minutes.
3. In Manufacturing setup → Options, decide Require routing on WO release (default off).
4. Link the routing on each relevant BOM before activating.

Result

Routings are available for BOMs; release policy can enforce them.
