Promotion setup

Goal

Configure how multiple promotions combine and maintain promo-type catalogs.

Who it is for

Admin with pricing.admin (promo stacking lives under Pricing setup Options).

Preconditions

• Module pricing_promotions; optional existing promotions to validate stacking behavior.

Steps

1. Open Directory → Products → Pricing setup.
2. Options → Promotions → Promo stacking:
   • Best single discount wins
   • Stack all eligible discounts
   • Stack automatic; best coupon
3. Review Quote price lock if convert should keep vs re-resolve discounted lines.
4. On Promo types, maintain catalog keys/names used to classify promotions (admin).
5. Save Options when pricing.admin.

Result

Eligible promotions combine according to the stacking policy; priority breaks ties when totals are equal.
