HR & Payroll Workspace

Goal

See live operational KPIs for people and payroll so you can jump to pending leave, timesheets, and draft runs.

Who it is for

Managers and HR leads with hr.view and module hr_records.

Preconditions

• Module hr_records enabled; permission hr.view.
• Related modules (leave, attendance, payroll) may be off — those KPIs then stay at zero or omit data.

Steps

1. Open HR & Time → HR & Payroll Workspace.
2. Review the cards from GET /hr/workspace:
   • Active employees — headcount of active employee records.
   • Pending leave — leave requests awaiting approval (when leave is enabled).
   • Open timesheets — draft/open attendance timesheets.
   • Draft payroll runs — payroll runs still in draft.
3. Use navigation to open Leave, Attendance & Time, Employees, or Payroll and clear the backlog.

Result

You have a single snapshot of people ops load for the tenant.

Hard stops

• Without hr_records, the page does not load workspace data.
• Cross-tenant records never appear (RLS / tenant token).
