Create a fixed asset

Goal

Register a new active fixed or intangible asset.

Who it is for

asset.manage.

Preconditions

• Module fixed_assets on.
• Enter a unique code manually (auto-number settings may exist for process guidance; create requires code today).

Steps

1. Open Fixed Assets → New asset.
2. Enter code and translatable name.
3. Choose asset type (fixed or intangible).
4. Set acquisition date, acquisition cost (≥ 0), salvage value, useful life (months) (≥ 1).
5. Save. Status is active; depreciation method is taken from tenant default (else straight-line).

Result

Asset appears on the register. Next: periodic depreciation or edit allowed fields.

• Missing code/name/date/cost/life → validation 422.
